St. John’s Music Society
The St. John’s Music Society, founded by St. John’s Principal Organist Aaron Hirsch, exists as a means to enrich the lives of the Boulder community while featuring the beautiful acoustic space of St. John’s. The SJMS produces performances by top local and out of of state musicians, presenting programs that might not be heard regularly outside of a conservatory environment. By providing these experiences in downtown Boulder, we are able to touch people’s lives with the richness and diversity that exists in the world during these free concerts. All performances are open to all, and families are encouraged to attend.
The Music Society is able to accomplish all this through individual sponsorship of artists. Besides sponsorship, community members may choose to host our out-of-state performers in their homes, thus further engaging the community. If you are interested in sponsoring a concert, or providing a home stay, please contact SJMS Director Aaron Hirsch.

Education Series
Looking for a different venue to give your degree recital? Or perhaps a new location for your small ensemble? In an effort to enrich the musical development of the many collegiate musicians, we provide an off-campus performance venue at little to no cost. The acoustics are excellent for solo and chamber music, and there is a baby grand piano for use. Other amenities, like live-streaming using the built-in system, as well as reception space, can be added for an additional cost. Please click below to inquire.

St. John's Choir
Another mission of the St. John’s Music Society is to help fund the concerts put on by the St. John’s Choirs. Any excess funds from the regular concert series goes to hire out musicians for the annual Christmas and Spring concerts.
